my Review:Cute and a tad absurd (in a good way), this book shows any day can be good, even days deemed terrible--like Mondays. The day is definitely what you make it! Some of the things that happen to make him laugh are kind of odd, but it's a kids book, and I can see kids giggling at finding socks in a cereal box instead of cereal, or a sign sticking to a dog. It's a cute and imaginitive story, and it got a chuckle or two out of me. Summary:Follow Bennie as he chases away his Monday blues and embraces some humor in this fun, new book, What are Mondays good for, Anyway?
Bennie hates Mondays. Mondays mean no more watching cartoons or eating chocolate-chip pancakes. Mondays mean only work and no play. As another Monday arrives and the day starts going downhill, Bennie realizes that if he allows it, belly laughs can happen on even the most dreaded weekday of all. What Are Mondays Good For, Anyway? is a heartwarming picture book that helps teachers promote a growth mindset, and parents to encourage a supportive learning environment for young school-aged children who are dealing with back-to-school jitters. This book is a valuable addition to any children’s book collection or elementary school library.
