Wattys & WaterloggedMy books didn’t get shortlisted for the Wattys, but that’s okay! That means I can go ahead and start getting Waterlogged ready to publish. I will be publishing the parts separately at first, so watch out for that announcement sometime next year. Also, Waterlogged, Through the Dimension of Nightmares, and When the Sky Eats have been taken down from Wattpad. You can read them on Radish, or, if you’d rather, you can find them on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and your favorite bookish places. Dead Men Trilogy Book 2October 1st was When Dead Men Bleed’s 1-year birthday! I finished it late 2020 and had the second and most of the third book plotted out. However, between a move and the days between today, the spiral I’d had has vanished. I’m still looking, but as of right now, I still have not found it. That being said, spooky season had me inspired. I’ve been real quiet this past year with my many projects, but I think I needed a bit of a break. But yesterday, I started jotting down plot points and things I wanted to happen in WDMB2. I’ve had seven chapters written for a little over a year now, and today, I’ve begun adding to it. I can’t wait to see where this series will take me, especially since I remember almost nothing about what I’d wanted before. All I know is this version is already better. GoI’m still working on Go. I was supposed to finish it forever ago, but I’ve hit a wall. That being said, I started writing it from a different angle, so that has helped a lot. I know where I want it to go, but I’m not sure where to end it anymore. But it'll come to me, and one day, you’ll get to finally read Stop’s sequel. Replay: PeridotI went through Peridot and added a few more endings. I just didn’t feel right about it, like it was missing something. But NOW it is completely finished and I’m ready to edit and publish it. It reached over 100k (the size of The One-Hundred), making it the longest Replay Book in the series. It has 21 different endings. Will you be able to find the good ones? I will have a cover reveal for Peridot soon, so watch out for that! The ebook is also available to purchase for ARC’s if you like reading raw, unedited books. Just head over to my shop to purchase it. I plan on releasing Peridot on December 31, 2022, so mark your calendars! If you haven’t read the books yet, you can get them all at my shop. Replay should have 5 more books after Peridot, and then it’ll be finished. One book for each character. Get ready for a wild ride. Underdogs SeriesIf you’ve been on my Smashwords profile lately, you’ll notice a new series has popped up: Underdogs. I’ve been sitting on these books for two years, and plan to release them next year. I wanted to wait until Replay is finished, but I’m too excited for Underdogs. I’m 1/3 of the way through writing the 4th book, so wish me luck. The release dates are tentative, so they are subject to change. Thank YouThank you so much for reading, and please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Have a wonderful rest of your day!

Here is the Whiteout Cover Edition for Sameness—and I think it's one of my favorites in the collection.
The colors are White and Gold for Whiteout, but Sameness took on more blues than I originally wanted... and I couldn't be happier.
Nine months of sleep, three months of being awake, that's how the year goes for us. Half of us wake up tired and sore while all of us wake up smelling of either lotion or bleach. But during the nine month period of hibernation, I woke up.
And now I know why I always wake up sore and reeking of bleach. SAMENESS, WHAT WE STRIVED FOR SO LONG TO ACHIEVE. BUT WHAT IF YOU'RE DESTINED TO BE DIFFERENT? Humans have always strived for equality, for everyone to be treated equal. We finally reached the point of this harmony, this level of sameness--and everyone is happy. Many, many generations later. But what happens when, in a wold of people knocked down and stood up to be exactly alike, a person wants to be different? What if they're destined to be unique in a world of strict equality? Buy Now | Share | Tweet FINALLY, after two years, Waterlogged is complete. Standing at a whopping 190k (and probably over 200k after editing), Waterlogged is the longest book I have ever written. Granted, it's split up into four parts, but it's still one book.
The entire Replay Series is over 300k so far. The One-Hundred is 100k, and The One-Hundred series adds up to be over 300k as well. So. Waterlogged is 2/3 the size of these two series, AND it's one book. Sorry. Just kind of blows my mind. The whole book is something close to my heart. I love these characters so, so very much. The world I created with the sirens and the humans... it just works, for me. Iridessa is such a joy, and she is so eager to learn about the human world while simultaneously so terrified of it and the men that walk it... and I love watching her and Elijah grow throughout the book. The way they provide for each other and the way they go out of their way to help one another, even though they are supposed to hate each other... Ah... it just feels so nice. Anyway. Waterlogged is finished. I have a lot of heavy lifting when it comes to editing for the last part, but I don't mind. I rewrote the whole fourth part three times. The first time, I got halfway through it and just... stopped. I couldn't write anymore. I ended up hating where it was going. Then I started again. I got almost 20k words in and stopped. Because I hated this one too. So I got a bunch of post-it notes and a friend, and wrote what I needed to happen on the post-it notes. Then, my friend helped me move the post-it notes around until the story made sense. And that did the trick. I got through it. I finished it. And I can't wait to share it with you. Thanks for all your support. - K. Finally. I took a bunch of post-it notes, wrote everything I wanted to happen in Waterlogged on them, and rearranged them with help from a friend. This is the third time I’ve rewritten this last part and I finally have something I like. I want to finish this book by the end of the month, so wish me luck.
Meanwhile, I’m about to be selling The One-Hundred book boxes! This is the first time I’m ever doing something like this, so I need all the support I can get. I also FINALLY finished Replay: Peridot. Somehow, I ended up with 19 endings and over 80k words. I'd like to mention Crystal was half that size. Not sure what happened. But either way, I hope you enjoy it when it comes out in June! Y'all have a great night! |
