My Review:What an interestingly unique book. It’s written both like a script and a novel, and it works really well. This author has a lot of talent, describing everything in great detail and mastering the art of showing verses telling. I’m amazed at the love that was very much pumped into this story by the gallon. This book doesn’t mince words. It’s very good at getting to the point—which is a quality I appreciate. There are quite a few characters to keep track of, but it gets easier as you go along. If you’re looking for something different, definitely pick this one up. You won’t be disappointed. Summary:BOOK ONE, Origin's Edge, of The Book of Men seriesA fate-changing manuscript is at the center of a battle that could forever alter the course of humanity.Against the backdrop of the idyllic Great Plains of Colorado and the 1970s New York blackouts, a battle rages over a powerful Book that can dictate the world's fate.
The Book's creator, Nelson Senior, has lost faith in humankind after his daughter's passing, and his wife Amanda is determined to help him. But dangerous actors like the ominous Zhain are also after The Book. Zhain wants to use it to create a new world order - and he'll stop at nothing to get it. As the search for The Book intensifies, the violence escalates to the point of no return. The stakes have never been higher. Is there hope amidst the ashes of destruction? Or will the world succumb to the darkness? The dark twists and turns of this thought-provoking story will shock you to your core. But they'll also draw you in and won't let go. Written in the style of Beat-Narrative(TM), the dystopian ORIGIN'S EDGE is the gripping first instalment of award-winning A.C. Coelho's trilogy. It will take you on a thrilling journey of a search for meaning and keep you thinking until the very last page!
