SO. I didn’t finish Go. Have too many things I want to do in the book and not a smooth way to get it all together. Not to mention February was the last month for the book boxes, so I was kind of focused on that. I also started up DoorDash for extra money, so you could say I’ve been a bit busy!
Either way, here’s the skinny: March, I was supposed to finish Damian. But as February came to an end, I realized I’d written a whole book for Damian, and I left off on quite a cliffhanger. Long story short, Damian is finished and is the beginning of a spin-off trilogy about Damian. Yes, that means more One-Hundred books. I hope you’re excited. I have 9 books I want to write for The One-Hundred universe, so wish me luck. I hope you look forward to reading stories from Damian, Morgiana… and even Lily-flor. Oh, yeah. You read that right. So Damian is done. When will it be released? When I finish the second book. I want to get in the habit of finishing the next book before releasing the book before it. Example: I won’t release Replay: Peridot before I’m done with Replay: Pearl and so on. This way, the people reading them won’t have to wait four years like they did with Stop; Go. *Couch cough* Sorry, y’all. Anyway. I will continue working on Go this month, as well as Pearl. I have some cool ideas I want to implement somehow. I’ve finished drafting the outline of Go, BUT it will probably go through SEVERAL revisions before I’m happy with it. Good thing is I know where I want it to end. If that changes, oh well. It’s happened before and it’ll happen again. It isn’t the end of the world. Anyway! Don’t forget to vote on the next book box here. Have a wonderful day!

FINALLY, after two years, Waterlogged is complete. Standing at a whopping 190k (and probably over 200k after editing), Waterlogged is the longest book I have ever written. Granted, it's split up into four parts, but it's still one book.
The entire Replay Series is over 300k so far. The One-Hundred is 100k, and The One-Hundred series adds up to be over 300k as well. So. Waterlogged is 2/3 the size of these two series, AND it's one book. Sorry. Just kind of blows my mind. The whole book is something close to my heart. I love these characters so, so very much. The world I created with the sirens and the humans... it just works, for me. Iridessa is such a joy, and she is so eager to learn about the human world while simultaneously so terrified of it and the men that walk it... and I love watching her and Elijah grow throughout the book. The way they provide for each other and the way they go out of their way to help one another, even though they are supposed to hate each other... Ah... it just feels so nice. Anyway. Waterlogged is finished. I have a lot of heavy lifting when it comes to editing for the last part, but I don't mind. I rewrote the whole fourth part three times. The first time, I got halfway through it and just... stopped. I couldn't write anymore. I ended up hating where it was going. Then I started again. I got almost 20k words in and stopped. Because I hated this one too. So I got a bunch of post-it notes and a friend, and wrote what I needed to happen on the post-it notes. Then, my friend helped me move the post-it notes around until the story made sense. And that did the trick. I got through it. I finished it. And I can't wait to share it with you. Thanks for all your support. - K. I've been working on an unannounced book series for two years now. I JUST finished book 3, and I have so much I want to do with this series. I want it to be a long one, so fingers crossed. Until The One-Hundred, I've never been able to get out more than three books for a single idea. And here I am, writing a seventh book in The One-Hundred series and book fourteen of Replay.
My, how things have changed. I hope you're excited for it, and looking forward to a new story. I won't be announcing it or publishing it until I'm finished with Replay, though, so no worries. I'm in love with this series, so far. The characters, the story... I will definitely be pushing my limits with these books,. so I hope you enjoy them when they do come out. Thank you for all your support! Finally. I took a bunch of post-it notes, wrote everything I wanted to happen in Waterlogged on them, and rearranged them with help from a friend. This is the third time I’ve rewritten this last part and I finally have something I like. I want to finish this book by the end of the month, so wish me luck.
Meanwhile, I’m about to be selling The One-Hundred book boxes! This is the first time I’m ever doing something like this, so I need all the support I can get. I also FINALLY finished Replay: Peridot. Somehow, I ended up with 19 endings and over 80k words. I'd like to mention Crystal was half that size. Not sure what happened. But either way, I hope you enjoy it when it comes out in June! Y'all have a great night! |
