Deluge: The People That Melt in the Rain #1 by Carolyn Watson-Dubisch and Mike Dubisch

My Review: 

I love the creativity of this short comic-style story. People who melt in the rain due to a town-wide curse? Frogs falling from the sky? The town of Deluge is a curious place, and I would love to read more. I know the next one comes out in a few months, and I look forward to reading it.

The artwork is well done, and I appreciate the color palate. It's calming, and adds to the whimsical nature of these insane things happening.

All in all, I loved these first chapters to this series, and I can't wait for more.

Summary: 

12 year old Laura was just a normal girl from Seattle when her mother decided to move to a mysterious town in the mid-west. The moment they arrive in their new home hundreds of frogs rain from the sky. Her quirky new neighbor has a house full of knickknacks and odd tiny creatures beckoning from the shadows, and there's a terrible curse on the town that makes every summer storm a life threatening event.
