My Review:

What a breath of fresh air.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. It wasn’t what I expected in a good way, and takes on relevant and important topics with facts and articles to back up the points of view, not to mention personal stories from the author.

What do we owe one another? Do we? What is a human life, and where does it begin? Should we be forced to take care of people who have scarred us?

This book held me captive the entire way through. It was engaging and had me hanging on every word, every new fact it was throwing at me. I learned things I didn’t know, and assisted me in hardening my resolve on personal opinions I have.

Highly recommend and very much enjoyed.

Summary:

Discover the essential value of caring for our aging family and the responsibility we have for those closest to us. In today’s hyper-individualistic and self-obsessed world, the concept of responsibility is often overshadowed by endless talk about freedoms and rights. But how does this distort the essential ties between parents and children? Do we have a special obligation to care for those who brought us into the world? And how can we rediscover the essential familial connections that helped us flourish for generations? Featuring a thought-provoking exploration of the key attitudes and unspoken issues that face the modern family, this groundbreaking book examines the pervasive attitudes of today’s world, exposing the disturbing lack of responsibility people feel towards taking care of their parents and grandparents. From elderly care homes to retirement villages, a generation of parents are increasingly finding themselves abandoned, forgotten, and ignored. We all have someone who brought us into the world – but with changing times, how many of us forget to appreciate the ones who raised us? This book seeks to revitalize the sense of duty in modern minds, sharing valuable perspectives that will strengthen family ties, combat the rise in loneliness, and undermine the implicit selfishness lurking in our freedom-focused ethos. Mama I Owe You Nothing seeks to challenge our assumptions, outlining the vital responsibility we have towards every member of our family, along with how deepening our appreciation for our loved ones can reverse the increasing fragmentation of our society. Are you ready to reawaken your sense of appreciation and responsibility? Then scroll up and order your copy today.
