My review:This book is filled with fun and unique puzzles that make you think. It’s a lot like sudoku, but there’s a cool spin that makes it interesting and unique. The artwork in the puzzles and the way they’re laid out keeps it fresh and fun. The puzzles range from easy (1 star) to difficult (5 star), and my goodness, they can be tough—but in a good way! I highly recommend this book for anyone who loves puzzles or games that will help keep your brain sharp. I’ll definitely be getting more of these books for friends and family that I know would love this. Summary:Albcell is a visual and mental treat for puzzle-lovers of all ages and skill levels. Each puzzle contains a unique logical challenge within a picture…
This set of 81 brand-new puzzles is inspired by, and a tribute to, one of the greatest minds in western music: Richard Wagner. As a fitting mental challenge in his honour, the puzzles chart Wagner’s journey into our modern consciousness. While fans of Albcell will find all the familiar challenges within these pages, this edition also introduces another innovation – the ‘double puzzle’ – to further stretch the minds of puzzle-lovers everywhere!

My Review:I've always been a huge fan of Nathaniel Luscombe's work, and this solidifies it even more. The scope of the world is phenomenal and the characters are well done. Nathaniel's world building abilities are beyond amazing, and I can't recommend this book enough. The story moves along with perfect pace, and the twists are elegantly done. I love the shared dreams and the switching point of views. I love books where the reader is in the dark and are trying to figure out what's going on alongside the main character. It really bonds you to the story and continuously keeps you invested. I'd give this ten stars if I could, but alas, only five are available. Amazing job. Summary:Two girls. One fate.
Alejhar has spent her life by the sea. She knows its secrets, or so she thinks. When she gets caught in a storm, she finds herself face to face with the impossible. Now she has to figure out what her island has been hiding from her. Jynn has spent her life catching jellyfish. She doesn't know how to save the world. Especially when it needs to be saved from the people she trusts most. A man's dying words are going to send her on a journey to discover who she really is. When they come together, the island may crack beneath the weight of its past. My Review:This collection of short stories is breathtaking. I enjoyed every moment, every character, and every new world. Nathaniel Luscombe is a master at finding the best writers and bringing them together for a beautiful masterpiece. Summary:The universe is full of life.
Life is full of sorrow. There are beings who walk between the stars, longing for love. There are rebels fighting for freedom. There are museums dedicated to all that has been lost. There are humans dying so that others can survive. The universe is full of life, not all life is meant for the universe. My Review:This book is filled with well thought out points and ideas, and I appreciate that a lot. Having a dream without a plan leaves emptiness and disappointment. I may not agree with everything in this book, but it’s cool seeing the other side of things. I love the way this is formatted, like an interview or a conversation. Eric and Corinne bounce off each other well and are extensively knowledgeable about their field of study. This brings up a lot of interesting points and gets you thinking. This is definitely a book with reading, no matter what side you stand on, even if you’re a sheep or an activist. Summary:Almost everyone agrees on the need to transition the global economy to net zero. But how do we do it? And how do we do it faster ? If you feel demoralized, depressed or confused about the climate crisis this book will provide answers – and ones that don’t involve punishing lifestyle changes, the end of capitalism, or a much higher tax bill.
Supercharge Me is grounded in relentless realism about how governments, businesses and individuals actually behave. It draws lessons from what has worked so extreme positive incentives and smart regulations. Through a series of fast-paced dialogues, the authors introduce practical ideas for change that will embolden activists, reinvigorate the disheartened, and reframe the climate crisis as an opportunity. My Review:The world building in this book is phenomenal. I really enjoyed reading about how this future came about, and all the intricacies in the paradigm shift in society. It was so well detailed and the author did an amazing job at keeping it from sounding bland. In fact, it was my favorite part. Even the descriptions of the tech and how they came to be or how they functioned had me enthralled and hanging on every word. That being said, this book does need another work-through, and for some reason the interactions between characters didn’t stick with me too well. Besides that, the author is great with descriptions and pulling a believable narrative to connect us with the futuristic tale he’s spinning. Summary:In an era where Earth has become a distant painful memory, the descendants of those fortunate to have fled had taken with them more than just their lives memories and pain, war followed them. For the tragedy of Earth was but the first chapter in an ongoing struggle for dominance over the minds of Humanity. Mining bases have gone dark, squadrons of warships carry out wargames while the droning masses are fed a copious diet of propaganda. Beings beyond imagining, some pawns in this great game, are waiting for the coming collapse. As pieces move into place, whisper turns to rumor as thoughts become reality, zero hour approaches. In the chaos and mass confusion the Jupiter Sector orders the thawing of a young woman from stasis. It is her first day awake since the war. It is the year 2412, and nothing will be the same, again.
My Review:This book is a great stepping block to help kids talk about and work through their emotions as they grow and get more complicated. This includes activities and advice on how to handle situations, feelings, or emotions. I highly recommend this book for any parent or caregiver wanting to help their child grow into someone who can communicate their thoughts and emotions. Great read! Summary:Kids, like adults, go through a wide range of emotions. They may experience boredom, anxiety, sadness, disappointment, embarrassment, and fear, to mention a few emotions. While most of us experience a variety of emotions daily, we are not always taught how to deal with or manage them. Children must learn how to handle their emotions healthily. It's critical to teach children coping techniques that will enable them to face their concerns, relax, and cheer themselves up. Coping methods are divided into two categories : Both types of abilities are critical for children to learn and apply in their daily lives. This positive, interactive book will help your child calm down, cope, and cool a hot temper with skills that will last them a lifetime. Here's what you'll find in this book : If you work with kids you’re always looking for creative ways to help them navigate through their hardships. This book can help you do that.
My Review:If you are looking to experience substantial growth in your small business, The 400-Hour Workweek is the perfect book for you. Each chapter and section of Vasilijevic's 400-hour workweek includes helpful links and tools to use, as well as ways to get in contact with him, allowing you to reap the life-altering benefits this book has to offer. This book is a breath of fresh air compared to the other books in its genre, outlining specific steps to optimize time management. It cuts out the fat and gets right to the meat, helping provide the necessary structure to ensure success in business. As I studied this book, I utilized the strategies and advice presented and began to apply them to my life. If I’m doing things that don’t help me or my business grow, then I should cut it out (but I shouldn’t forget to let myself unwind sometimes). The work you put in to something won’t always give you the outcome you desire—unless you’re working on the right things AND doing them right. This is definitely one of those books I’ll keep close at hand to reference back to when I’m feeling stuck or like I might be misplacing my time. I highly recommend and very much enjoyed this one. “My life, as is common in most people’s, can be summed up as a series of defeats. But you don’t need many victories to turn it around and shift the balance in your favor.” Summary:Simple math: 100% of 8-figure business owners spend most of their time on $10,000/hour activities. What are yours?
Here’s the problem. Business owners don’t know exactly what their most important activities are. As a result, they work on the most urgent things, that never move the needle the most. In the meantime, the $1,000/H and $10,000/H activities are left alone, and the business is standing still, or growing at a very slow pace. Remember this: your most important activities aren't determined by your industry or skills. They're only determined by the stage of growth your business is at. You don't spend your time on the same tasks when running a 6-figure business that you would when running a 7- or an 8-figure company. What brought you here won't get you there. That's what you'll discover in this guide. THE 400-H WORKWEEK lays down all the activities business owners face from launching their businesses to running an 8-figure company – so you know the right things to focus on at all times. That's what real time management is about. Apart the right activities to work on to grow your 8-figure company (or your 7-figure business if you’re not there yet), you’ll discover: • How to transform yourself before transforming your business (page XXXV) • Why knowledge is not power… and what really is power (page 71) • The definitive blueprint to know if the people you consider spending some time with are worth it or not (page 80) • What the most critical stage of the life of your business is – and how to handle it perfectly (page 121) • Why reading one book per week leads to confusion and is a waste of time + what to do instead (page 157) • The right framework to get your first million FAST if you’re not there yet – it’s easier than you think (page 178) • The quick and easy-to-grasp definitive HAPPINESS blueprint – most people live all their lives without (page 220) You’ll learn in a very concrete fashion how to mathematically 10x your productivity, 10x your free time for yourself and your family, and outpace your competitors 10x. This is why it’s called The 400-Hour Workweek: You and the average business owners work the same number of hours. Nonetheless, by the time they have worked 40 hours, you’ve just outpaced them 10 times, by working on the RIGHT activities, and piling through what would be—for them—the equivalent of a 400-Hour workweek. My Review:This book is short but very well written. It had me on the edge of my seat at every turn, and my brain was constantly doing its best to guess what would happen next. It definitely gives me some Dr. Who vibes (and I can't help but picture the Silence when I think about the Shadow Men, but that's besides the point), and reminded me a bit of The Time Traveler's Wife (the show, not the movie). I absolutely love the main character. She has her flaws but she's well-rounded, smart, and strong. Not to mention Mr. Reese, who is wonderful in his own ways, too. I am a huge fan of the way Grayson Scott writes. His stories take you to a whole other world and the emotions are almost tangible as the words seem to lift off the page and become a part of you. I'm looking forward to the next installment in this series. It has a strong premise, and is a concept we're familiar with, but has a unique, insatiable spin to it, and I can't wait for more. Summary:Humanity's fate hangs in the balance in a world where civilization teeters on the brink of collapse. Amidst the chaos, a cryptic enigma emerges, unveiling the assault on the very fabric of time itself. Embark on a breathtaking journey through the annals of history, the present's uncertainties, and the mysteries of the future, as our The Curator battles to save humanity and the timeline that binds us all.
This is episode one of an exciting new time traveling novella series from Grayson Scott with multiple episodes each year. This special edition includes the first chapter of Episode Two: A World Without Feather My Review:Reader beware, you're in for a scare--but that's only if you're unwilling to face your flaws, fears, and former fabrications. This book takes an aggressive, look-at-yourself-completely approach. If you aren't ready to be comepletely honest with yourself, this will definitely heat your seat. But If you take a step back and breathe, you'll see that Alex Monaco isn't yelling at you or pointing out your flaws because he's being mean--he's doing it because he honestly cares. As the book goes on, Alex gives exceptional advice on how to make the most out of your life, no matter what your goal is. No where in here does he let you weasel away from addressing the problem: you and your outlook on life. "[Some people] would want Alex Monaco to part the ocean of problems with his bare hands (like God parted the Red Sea). But why should I do that if you have arms and can swim?" The outcome of your life comes down to your mind and discipline, and this book has wonderful pointers and helpful advice on how to fix that, and the author does NOT sugar coat anything, which, in my opinion, is desperately needed now adays. If you're looking to change your life and work on yourself without unnecessary fluff or words of manipulation, this is the book for you. A great read all in all. The bond between a child and their mom is unbreakable, and this book truly encapsulates that. The artwork is so cute and I think my favorite is when they’re on the scale and it shows the mom means more than the world to the child. Ah, my heart! I found myself saying “Aw” so much throughout this, and I highly recommend this. This would be a wonderful Mother’s Day gift or even a beautiful book for children to grow up reading/hearing. My Review:I’m a big fan of loving families and books that show children are smarter than the world makes them out to be, and this is definitely one of them. This is a wonderful example of someone who’s made wrong decisions in the past but is working hard to put it behind her and keep moving forward. She loves her children and keeps her composure even when small town gossip tries to tear her down. I almost wish this book was a little longer, going more in-depth with Maria’s thoughts and emotions. I also wish there was a bit more build-up to the romance. Knowing the men in her past, I was kind of wigged out with how possessive Jake became because I felt like it kind of aggressive with how fast-paced the book was. That being said, he’s really good for her and he’s really good for the kids. That being said, I really enjoyed this book and it was written really well. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a quick romance that’ll have your heart soaring with some thrilling aspects as the past collides with the present. Summary:Maria Jackson, a single mom of two kids running from her worst nightmare, ends up back in her hometown, where she encounters Jacob Smith, her middle school crush. It wasn't easy living next door to each other, but headstrong Maria found it harder not to fall in love with Jacob. Can she let go of her fears and take a leap of faith? Find out in this story of faith, hope, and love.
My Review:I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. It has heart, lessons, action, and so much lore. I thoroughly loved being in this world and experiencing through a group of friends who don’t know really anything about it. Every twist was very well executed and immersed me into the world. It reminded me a lot of what I’ve seen of the Shannarah Chronicles for some reason, and that’s a good thing since I enjoyed it very much. The characters are wonderful and unique and I was rooting for them. When someone would meet an untimely demise or get left behind, I found myself saying, “No!” My favorite thing about this book were the fight scenes. The way the author made them feel alive in their descriptions is something I’ve rarely seen before, and it was very much appreciated. The creativity is insurmountable and I feel like I’m talking in circles because of how much I loved it. The ending was great, and I’m really excited for the next book. The author is amazing at character creation, even with the villains, and I commend them for that. All in all, I highly recommend this book for anyone looking for a grand, action-packed fantasy that will keep you on the edge of your seat until it’s final page. Summary:Soul shards. Mysterious crystals that each grant their holder a unique supernatural ability. From the power to lock reality in a single moment, to be able to raise an entire country into the sky. Whoever holds these shards command obedience. These shards have won wars. These shards have made kings.
Ember never gave these things much thought. Even though her people had long been conquered by the Soveterra, and the village where she was raised was forced to forge weapons for his army, Ember had never seen true conflict. Until the day the guardian of her village planned to execute her friend. That day she witnessed the terrifying capabilities of a soul shard, but also, she realized there was something inside her: a power that awakened when she confronted the guardian. How could she produce the same magic the soul shards conjure? For answers, Ember would escape her village in search of a secret organization that might be able to help her understand. But what she finds on her path are deadly foes, a prophecy of a liberator, and a plan that threatens all of life itself, to which she will realize: her new power may be the only thing that can save the world from falling into oblivion. My Review:This book is really cute and informative. Honestly, the way the story was written, it keeps you on your toes as the characters try to protect their home from the smoke. The characters are adorable and memorable, and the art is perfect for this tale. I honestly believe any child would enjoy this book. The images are cute and filled with movement, and the story is simple and understandable. Pollution is a big topic, and this book is a great spring-board to talk to you child about it. Summary:At the beginning of time, planet Earth was so new, pure, and clean. This allowed all the plants to walk around like people! If you listened carefully you could even hear their hearts beating!
One day, when our heroes Mrs Florence and Mr Florian met for their daily chat, the forest was dark, hot and full of smoke and black dust. Where was that pollution coming from? With friendship, cooperation and working as a team, the trees, plants and flowers solved the problem and saved the pure planet Earth from the greenhouse effect. My Review:This book is creative, cute, and enjoyable. I gave it 4.5 because I think it could go a little deeper or have some sort of lesson involved, especially since the plants determine humans in the future won't hate plants, even though the images they're shown are of humans destroying or mucking up the environment. It has a lot of potential, I just wish there was more of a lesson involved, espeically since it's a kids book. Summary:In the beginning of time on planet Earth, trees, flowers, bushes and all other plants could walk, talk and live a happy life. One day, a visitor came to Earth with the intention of dominating the plants. Since then, the plants can no longer move. However, they are still alive!
What would have happened that day? This book is part of the "Living Green" series, picture books for children that promote environmental awareness, respect and friendship. My Review:Do you ever look at an item and wonder what stories it could tell if it could talk? This sword can’t talk, but the things it’s seen… could literally fill a book. The characters were well-rounded and the stories are captivating and creative. It gives me almost a D&D feel—which is great! Each storyline is easy to follow and each one gets a chance to breathe and submerge you into this fantastical world. I really enjoyed the lizard species and everything associated with them. The way their system is combat-based was really interesting and I rather enjoyed it. All in all, you won’t be disappointed by giving this book a read. I loved it. Five stars. Summary:The Beastmaster Sword was originally crafted in 1981 by the dangerous and creative mind of legendary sword and knife maker Victor Anselmo. In 2015, John Anselmo brought Anselmo Knives and his father’s masterpiece back to life for a whole new generation to marvel and admire.
What you are about to read has been years in the making. We at Anselmo Knives, along with The Write Stuff Publishing House, hope our dedication to the legacy of Victor Anselmo and this phenomenal weapon comes across in the following pages and that you enjoy these new tales of fantasy adventure as much as you did the original. To fans of the original film- this is not a continuation of that tale. That is not our tale to tell. This is what came before. Long before. We understand that nothing will ever take the place in your heart of your first introduction to the Beastmaster Sword © ®, but we hope these new stories fascinate, thrill, inspire, and most of all, entertain you. my Review:Cute and a tad absurd (in a good way), this book shows any day can be good, even days deemed terrible--like Mondays. The day is definitely what you make it! Some of the things that happen to make him laugh are kind of odd, but it's a kids book, and I can see kids giggling at finding socks in a cereal box instead of cereal, or a sign sticking to a dog. It's a cute and imaginitive story, and it got a chuckle or two out of me. Summary:Follow Bennie as he chases away his Monday blues and embraces some humor in this fun, new book, What are Mondays good for, Anyway?
Bennie hates Mondays. Mondays mean no more watching cartoons or eating chocolate-chip pancakes. Mondays mean only work and no play. As another Monday arrives and the day starts going downhill, Bennie realizes that if he allows it, belly laughs can happen on even the most dreaded weekday of all. What Are Mondays Good For, Anyway? is a heartwarming picture book that helps teachers promote a growth mindset, and parents to encourage a supportive learning environment for young school-aged children who are dealing with back-to-school jitters. This book is a valuable addition to any children’s book collection or elementary school library. My Review:This book is an absolute gem. I was fully invested in every moment, and found myself in tears when it ended--but good tears. The characters were real and vibrant, and every sentence touched my heart in a way that made me feel everything they were going through. The author does such an amazing job at letting these characters breathe and is astute in putting us in the depths of their minds. My heart ached when theirs broke, and my spirits soared when they smiled. By no means is this a sad story. It's about a father who would do anything for his son, no matter what. Abuse is something overlooked in relationships when it's happening to men. We live in a world where men are told to suck it up. They're "men". If they let a woman hurt them, then they're less of a man and probably deserved it. But how dare we say that to them and turn right around and embrace women who lie about it. Abuse is abuse, no matter which side it's from. I absolutely love this book. The hardships Alan and his father went through were terrible, but the happiness, the joy between the moments of darkness... that's what made me love this story. It's the light that fills their darkness that gives this book meaning. I highly recommend this read for anyone. Everyone. This is the kind of book that deserves every eye to read it. This book is a treasure amidst rubble, and I hope you decide to love it not for its shimmer, but for its worth. Summary:Mark Soderlind has lived a life unremarkable. Existing one day at a time, only hoping to stay out of the way of those society considers important, worthy, and necessary. Mark silently goes to work and does his best to take care of the only joy in his life: his young son Alan. The two of them have managed to build a small world together where they look out for each other as only a father and son can.
However, genius is often found in the quietest and most unexpected places. When Alan’s new teacher discovers a secret that Alan has been hiding from everyone, Mark and Alan’s sheltered world is shattered. Suddenly faced with the burden of knowing his son is anything but unremarkable, Mark must learn to move beyond the mistakes and failures of his past before they his son's future. My Review:This story is really uplifting and I believe could help a lot of people. It's sincere and unapologetic, and shows the inner workings of an abusive, deteriorating relationship. This is definitely a testament to how we can keep moving, even when we're at our lowest, and can emerge from even the depths of the darkest void. SummaryScars of Abuse: A Tale of Tragedy and Hope

Home Buying 101 breaks everything down in an easily digestible chapters, and the author writes in such a way that had me hanging on every word. I learned so, so much, and I even started highlighting parts! I can't recommend this enough. I'm impressed by the author's entrepreneurial drive, even from when he was young, and his curiosity in learning about home buying is outstanding. I'm so glad this book crossed paths with me, and I can't wait to put it to use. This is definitely a book that will get worn as I read it several times over to make sure all the information sticks. I'll probably end up lending it out to others, too, or even buying them their own copy! All in all, I very much enjoyed this. It was short, simple, and straightforward. Everything is broken down into easily understandable tidbits, without all the fluff, and I appreciate that. Give this book a read. It won't let you down. Grindall, J.D. (Attorney-at-Law, Tenenbaum & Saas) My Review:My review: This book is super interesting! I had no idea you could rent out your car (or a spare one) to earn extra money. Through this book, Scott walks you through Getaround, the app he uses, and gives you tips and advice on how to make the most money on it. And strangely, this book made me want to clean out my car! That definitely wasn't the point of this book, but it definitely made me want to start taking better care of my vehicle. If you have an extra car lying around, or if you have the money to invest in purchasing another car, definitely pick this book up and give it a read. You won't be disappointed! Summary:This E-book is an introductory guide that will give you all of my tips, tricks and strategies that I use that will help anyone who wants to make over $70,000 in the car rental industry using the Getaround App.
